FireKeepers is a tribal casino and hotel located in Battle Creek, Michigan, just about halfway between Detroit and Chicago, along I-94.
The casino opened on Aug. 5, 2009, and was originally owned by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi tribe and managed by Las Vegas-based casino developer Full House Resorts. Unlike some tribal casinos across the state that allow younger patrons, FireKeepers has a 21-and-up age requirement.
The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi bought out the management contract in May 2012 and now owns and operates FireKeepers Casino Hotel.

FireKeepers Casino became FireKeepers Casino Hotel with the opening of an eight-story 243-room hotel in December 2012.
The hotel also features a fitness center, multilevel indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam room, and a 24-hour business center.
The tribe broke ground on a second eight-story, 203-room hotel tower in June 2019. It plans to open the tower later this year.
The 107,000-square-foot casino on the property currently boasts 2,900 slot machines, 70 table games, live poker and bingo rooms. There are five restaurants, four bars and lounges, a coffee shop, cake shop, two retail outlets, a gas station, convenience store and car wash on the property.
Plus, the 2,100-seat FireKeepers Event Center, which hosts various shows and events.
Firekeepers Casino Play 4 Fun
In January, the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi inked a deal with gambling tech leader Scientific Games to run various online gambling verticals for FireKeepers in Michigan. This deal includes a retail sportsbook, online and mobile sports betting and online casino products. The casino plans to brand the online products under their FireKeepers name.
FireKeepers opened Dacey’s Sportsbook, the first tribal casino retail sportsbook in Michigan, on June 22, 2020.
